North Carolinians Against Gun Violence Education Fund hosted training for volunteers to become advocates for increased gun violence prevention strategies and shared opportunities for volunteers to advocate for change. We advocated for increased fundings for new and existing Community Violence Intervention programs across the state. We partnered with organizations across North Carolina to build a broad coalition of support to prevent firearm violence. We educated community members at community-based events across North Carolina to increase public understanding of policies, programs, and other lifesaving strategies.
