Happy School Project, India (HOPE Welfare Foundation)Their mission is to deploy technology in the classroom to teach English and Math skills toHappy School students at an early age are enabled to improve their prospects for jobsand better performance at college entrance exams, and they are equipped to handlecollege education in English. KPSNA donated money for various projects such as childrenmodern education using the Mind Spark software, sports coach, nutritious food etc. foraround 400 children of slum areas.b. Suhrid Education Project, India (https://suhrid.org)Suhrid Foundation has been working in the tribal area of Vikramgad in Palghar districtsince 2012. In this area, we support 11 primary schools, 2 secondary residential schoolsand also run two primary healthcare centers (clinics). KPSNA paid for all medicines costs.c. Sidsar Education Project, India (http://supet.org/about-school)Providing access to affordable and quality education to students whose families haveeither limited or no economic resources is one of the primary focuses of KPSNA. KPSNAis involved in administering Shree Vijapura Vidya Sankul. Almost 1100 underprivilegedstudents are getting benefits to take their Primary, middle, and High School education ata nominal fee. KPSNA has supported building facilities like classrooms, libraries, domes,etc.d. Need-based Students Scholarship ProgramProviding access to affordable and quality education to students whose families haveeither limited or no economic resources is one of the primary focuses of KPSNA. Morethan 1000 students apply for this scholarship each year, and we select about 500students and allocate scholarship amounts based on verification of their actual needs.e. Brilliant Students Scholarship ProgramKPSNA strongly believes that students learn from each other, and institutions shouldprovide a platform and environment for learning. For this, we encourage the students whodo well in our entrance exam by subsidizing their tuition fee to come to our boarding schoolso other students can benefit from brilliant students. We have been experimenting withthis for the last five years, and it works well. The overall academic standard is improvingyear by year. We keep 1/3 of brilliant students with 2/3 of general category students.2. Health:a. Anemia Prevention SupportKPSNA, in partnership with The Kundaria Cancer Prevention Foundation, Rajkot India,and Shree Umiya Mataji Mandir Trust, Sidsar, India, runs health check-up camps througha program called Uma Arogya Rath in the remote villages of Saurashtra region in Gujarat,India. The project provides anemia screening, diagnosis, treatment, and awarenesseducation. Anemia, caused by low iron in the blood, affects more than 70% of women and children in India, causing weakness, lethargy, and fatigue with no ambition. A team ofexperts, four trained nurses and two advisors visit small villages and towns daily. The teamchecks weight, temperature, oxygen level, hemoglobin, sugar, blood pressure, etc. andprovides free medicine for hemoglobin diagnosed as anemic.b. Cancer Prevention SupportKundaria Cancer Prevention Foundation has started a cancer prevention program with theRajkot Cancer Society. KPSNA remains a crucial contributor. Our goal is to createeducation and awareness about cancer and find interventions for treatable/preventablecancers of the breast, oral cavity, and cervical cancer. KPSNA helped 500 girls with theHPV vaccine free of charge. As of now, they provided health awareness education relatedto cancer to 200,000 people through 650 medical camps.3. Environmentala. Manav Seva Trust, UpletaKPSNA donated to Manav Seva Trust Upleta for Uma Van & Ram Van (tree projects)where they cleaned the land using JCB Machine, installed drip irrigation system andplanted 550 and 125 trees in both places.b. Tree Planation Project, JilanaThey cleaned up and levelled the around 70 Hectare of unused, wasteland using JCBMachine. They fenced whole area and installed a drip irrigation system. KPSNA donatedfor the whole project.c. Water Cooler ProjectSadbhavna Vrudhashram, Rajkot has installed many Water Coolers in the city so that poorpeople can have cold water during very hot summer. KPSNA donated for few watercoolers.4. Family Empowermenta. Jan Kalyan Trust, BhayavadarKPSNA helps Jan Kalyan Trust, Bhayavadar for Medical camps, Education to slumchildren, tailoring and beauty classes for ladies. This year they distributed 200 blankets,210 winter sweater and caps. 2 Tuition classes educated 210 poor kids. They areorganizing Beauty Parlor and Sewing classes and benefited 950 girls / ladies. ThePhysiotherapy center provided 7000 patients. They also arrange Physiotherapy andhealth checkup camps.b. Ajab Health Samiti, Ajab-KeshodKPSNA provided blankets to farm laborers families who are very poor and migrate fromother regions of state for their livelihood with the help of Ajab Health Samiti, near Keshod.c. Quality Circle, RajkotKPSNA helped the society by providing 250 sets of 12 books at discounted rates with thehelp of Quality Circle, Rajkot. We identify 12 books covering many aspects of life whichdevelop a reading habit among the family and can learn life lessons which help the family.5. Build Infrastructurea. Bolbala Charitable Trust, RajkotKPSNA donated money for a new building project for the Medical Supplies Center,Sewing Training Room for girls, and Job Search department for poor families/kids.Hundreds of poor families will get benefits for many years.b. Sadbhavna Vrudhashram/Manav Seva Charitable Trust, RajkotKPSNA donated to Sadbhavna Vrudhashram, Rajkot for diapers and beds for 190 old ageseniors. We donated some amount for 1600 bullocks, 160 dogs, tree plantations and anew building for seniors.
