Housing Collaborative is a nonprofit that makes affordable housing easier to navigate. Founded in Charlotte in 1999, Housing Collaborative helps secure or retain housing for households experiencing homelessness;those who have lost housing due to disaster, displacement, or eviction;and those who are at risk of homelessness. We work in collaboration with other mission-based organizations by leveraging their supportive services and/or programmatic resources with our housing expertise and housing-related resources. In FY25,Housing Collaborative continued our housing placement and inspection coordination services in 80 counties and expanded those services to Buncombe County in North Carolina:Housing Collaborative helped 902 households (1,842 people) experiencing or at risk of homelessness to secure housing across 81 counties, including 45 households (106 people) impacted by displacement events.We added over 350 new housing provider partners statewide.Our inspection team coordinated over 2,500 rental housing inspections.We checked in with property providers to provide support over 3,500 times.In FY25,Housing Collaborative provided $9.8M in housing-related financial assistance for households and incentives to develop and sustain housing provider partnerships:Over $9.6M in assistance was provided to help over 900 households experiencing or at risk of homelessness to access and retain housing, including rent and utility arrears, application fees, rental subsidies, and housing provider incentives.104 households were assisted with over $135K in security deposits through the City of Charlotte-funded Deposit Assistance Program.Four team members were promoted in FY25.
