THE FOUNDATION'S MAIN PURPOSE IS PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF GRANTS TO KIWANIS CLUBS, KIWANIS-FAMILY SPONSORED PROGRAMS, AND TO KIWANIS SERVICE PROGRAMS WHOSE SCOPE IS BEYOND THE MEANS OF INDIVIDUAL KIWANIANS, KIWANIS CLUBS OR LOCAL CLUB FOUNDATIONS. IN 2023/2024 THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED MORE THAN $35,000 TO MEMBER KIWANIS CLUBS AS WELL AS OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZIATIONS AND PROGRMS THAT WILL FURTHER THE GOALS AND IDEALS OF KIWANIS AND PROMOTE THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF KIWANIS IN THE AREA. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING GRANTS TO CLUBS ACROSS THE DISTRICT WHICH INCLUDES NORTH CAROLINA AND SOUTH CAROLINA, THE CAROLINAS DISTRICT KIWANIS INFORMS ITS MEMBER CLUBS OF THE NUMEROUS REGIONAL MEETINGS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE THE CLUBS WITH VALUABLE RESOURCES AND TRAINING ON HOW TO GROW AND CARRY OUT THE MISSION OF THE KIWANIS. THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THE WAYS THE FOUNDATION IMPACTED THE LIVES OF CHILDREN IN THE CAROLINAS: A PLAYGROUND IN WAYNESVILLE, A COMMUNITY GARDEN IN TOPSAIL ISLAND, AND A VISION SCREENING PROGRAM IN BLUFFTON.
