The organization operates a comprehensive domestic violence services program serving residents of Berkeley, Dorchester, and Charleston Counties in South Carolina. The program delivers an integrated continuum of care, including clinical therapy, case management, emergency housing, legal advocacy, and 24-hour crisis support, all grounded in a trauma-informed, survivor-centered approach.Clinical ServicesThe Clinical Services program provides individual and group therapy to survivors of domestic violence. Licensed clinicians offer confidential, one-on-one counseling to help survivors process trauma, rebuild self-esteem, and develop coping and recovery strategies. (Schedule O) Group therapy sessions are facilitated in community settings and are tailored to the specific needs of survivor populations, covering topics such as trauma healing, self-care, and empowerment. In 2025, the program served 157 individual therapy clients, facilitated 278 group therapy sessions, and reached 1,163 group participants.Victim ServicesThe Victim Services program provides acute and crisis-level care to individuals in immediate need. The organization's 24/7 crisis line offered confidential support, guidance, and resource navigation to 1,504 individuals in 2025. Emergency shelter and transitional housing services provided 8,710 nights of safe housing to more than 250 adults and children during the year. Legal advocacy staff and volunteers assisted survivors in navigating civil legal processes, including obtaining Orders of Protection and attending court hearings; in 2025, the program supported 150 Orders of Protection and provided 265 hours of volunteer legal advocacy.Case ManagementAs part of ongoing care, case managers work collaboratively with survivors to develop individualized action plans, connect clients to community resources, and support progress toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.Having provided services for over 45 years, the organization remains committed to serving as a trustedresource and advocate for survivors of intimate partner violence throughout the Tri-county region.
