WHILE THE NUMBER OF OLDER ADULTS GROWS THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE NEEDING LONG TERM CARE SERVICES IS, AND WILL CONTINUE TO SKYROCKET. THE CENTER FOR QUALITY AND INNOVATION IN CARE (CQIC) WAS ESTABLISHED TO STUDY AND IMPROVE COMMUNITY-BASED LONG TERM CARE (CBLTC) SERVICE MODELS THAT IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THOSE SERVICES WHILE MANAGING AND CONTROLLING COSTS. THE PROGRAM FOR ALL-INCLUSIVE CARE FOR THE ELDERLY (PACE) IS AN INNOVATIVE CBLTC MODEL THAT HAS BEEN THE FOCUS OF CQIC.DURING 2023, CQIC:1. MET AND TALKED WITH LEADERS OF SOME OF THE EARLY PACE SITES TO IDENTIFY THE INITIAL CHALLENGES AND LESSONS LEARNED.2. BEGAN COLLECTING DATA ON NEW PACE SITES TO TRACK THE GROWTH AND EVOLUTION OF THE PACE PROGRAM.3. REVIEWED AVAILABLE DATA ELEMENTS COLLECTED BY PACE PROGRAMS TO BEGIN ASSESSING THEIR USE FOR TRACKING SERVICE USE, COST AND QUALITY.
