THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL SCHOOL OF NURSING FOUNDATION, INC. FOSTERS AND PROMOTES THE SCHOOL OF NURSING'S TRIPARTITE MISSIONS OF LEADERSHIP AND INNOVATION IN TEACHING, RESEARCH, AND PRACTICE. THE SCHOOL OF NURSING IS COMMITTED TO ADDRESSING AND AMELIORATING THE SHORTAGE OF NURSES, NURSE LEADERS, AND NURSING FACULTY. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE ACTIVITIES AND NEEDS OF THE SCHOOL OF NURSING BY ESTABLISHING ENDOWMENTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS AND FOSTERING OTHER FORMS OF STUDENT AND FACULTY SUPPORT. IN FISCAL YEAR 2019, THE FOUNDATION SERVED APPROXIMATELY 629 STUDENTS AND 182 FACULTY AND STAFF. IT ALSO SUPPORTED RESEARCH THROUGH EVENTS WHICH SHOWCASED CURRENT AND FUTURE RESEARCH STUDIES AND FOSTERED COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS THROUGH ACTIVITIES SUCH AS ANNUAL STUDENT SERVICE LEARNING TRIPS.
