THESE MATERIALS ARE USED FOR VARIOUS PURPOSES RANGING FROM EDUCATION TO LEISURE. LITERACY IS AT THE CORE OF IT ALL. DURING 2024 THE LIBRARY HAD 54,464 VISITS. PHYSICAL ITEMS (INCLUDING AUDIO VISUAL) CHECKED OUT WERE 67,556. NEW LIBRARY CARD HOLDERS OF 1,436 WERE ADDED.

THIS INCLUDED A VARIETY OF IN-PERSON CHILDREN'S STORYTIME ACTIVITIES.THE LIBRARY CONTINUES TO SUPPORT THE CHARLIE MAY SIMON READING PROGRAM (USED IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS AS WELL). BOOKS ARE ORDERED THAT MEET THE CRITERIA AND ARE MADE AVAILABLE IN THE LIBRARY FOR CHILDREN TO READ. THESE BOOKS ARE FOR CHILDREN UP THROUGH THE 6TH GRADE. THE LIBRARY ALSO SUPPORTS THE ARKANSAS DIAMOND READING PROGRAM AND THE ARKANSAS TEEN CHOICE BOOK LIST FOR KIDS IN THE JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH AGE GROUPS.
