The South Carolina Cancer Alliance (SCCA) is the only statewide cancer organization in South Carolina that works to reduce the burden of cancer among South Carolinians and improve health outcomes for SC cancer survivors and their families. The SCCA convenes partners such as hospitals, FQHCs, public health agencies, academia, nonprofits, faith-based groups, and community leaders to advance the SC State Cancer Plan, a five-year guide to address cancer prevention and control in SC. The SCCA promotes cancer prevention and early detection through community outreach events, education and partnerships with SC Organizations. The SCCA also supports screening access and referral pathways by collaborating with health systems and clinics to improve patient and communication navigation to care. (See Schedule O for remaining description of program efforts.)
