Mountain Air Community Fund (MACF) is a grant-based fund that raises money each year to help the people of Yancey County. Thanks to our communitys generous giving, MACF has provided invaluable assistance to numerous less fortunate neighbors in Yancey County. In 2025 the organization awarded $422,836 in grants to 33 nonprofit organizations supporting Yancey County residents. MACF has selected four important pillars in hopes of growing grant funds to make an even more lasting impact on our neighbors in need. The four pillars include: Food Insecurity, Education and the Arts, Child and Family Welfare and Medical and Healthcare.
