At the South Florida Fair Western Palm Beach County Farm Bureau conducts tours for students. The South Florida Fair serves almost three quarters of a million patrons each year. We showcase agriculture with educational hands on displays and exhibits. Fresh produce is sold at the Farmer's Market and a portion of the proceeds are used for our Youth Scholarship program.

Palm Beach County is sometimes referred to as the Winter Vegetable Capital of the United States. Commodities grown in the county include sugar cane, sweet corn, bell peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, Chinese vegetables. We use farm tours as an opportunity to showcase the diverse agricultural environment; economic impact agriculture has in Palm Beach County and allows community members to connect with local farmers. We try to educate attendees on the importance of supporting locally grown food and dispel any misnomers about farming operations.
