When the Fort Myers Beach School, a K-5 school, was flooded in a hurricane in fall 2024, the Art Association quickly mobilized to provide materials for the art teacher - who had lost everything - when classes resumed a week later. Members bought art supplies and donated materials, other members volunteered to help the first-year art teacher by co-teaching lessons with materials they bought, until after the Christmas holidays. Volunteers were at the classes every week until spring. The Art Association itself bought drying racks. In all, about $1,500 of materials were donated, member artists taught 7 classes, and 120 hours of volunteer help was provided. The organization also donated $600 from an art supply sale to the art program.

In rented space, the Art Association ran weekly watercolor classes in November, December, January, February and March. It also offered paid short workshops open to the public: Introduction to Pastels, Introduction to Plein Air Painting, and Are You Stuck, a a workshop to solve painters' problems. The rented space also provided two days a week of drop in studio time for members. The space also hosted meetings that drew 30-40 members, and monthly board meetings with 12-16 members. In addition, the Art Association organizes and publicizes two free weekly sessions of outdoor painting that are promoted on Facebook and Instagram. They are open to any artist without charge. The Wednesday group meets year-round and the Saturday group (added this winter) intends to do the same.
