THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE IS THE LARGEST PROGRAM OF THE ORGANIZATION. THE NUMBER OF CLIENTS SERVED: FAMILIES SERVED 209 DAYS OF CARE PROVIDED: TOTAL NUMBER OF NIGHTS: 10,022 NUMBER OF SESSION OR EVENTS HELD: 4 SIGNATURE FUNDRAISING EVENTS PUBLICATIONS ISSUED - NONE IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY - THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE ASSISTS AVOID EXPENSIVE HOTEL STAYS AND MEAL COSTS DURING PROLONGED HOSPITALIZATIONS. THIS IS ESPECIALLY CRITICAL FOR LOWER-INCOME FAMILIES OR THOSE TRAVELING FROM RURAL OR DISTANT AREAS. AN AVERAGE FAMILY CAN SAVE MORE THAN $5,000 A MONTH WHEN THEY STAY AT THE HOUSE FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS. OTHER NON-MEASURABLE ACHIEVEMENTS: THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE ALSO PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES INSIDE PEDIATRIC HOSPITALS WITH A PROGRAM CALLED "HOSPITALITY A LA CARTE". VOLUNTEERS TAKE THE CHEERFUL CART AND PROVIDE COFFEE, COOKIES, PASTRIES, BOOKS, BLANKETS AND TOYS THROUGHOUT THE PEDIATRIC CANCER UNITS PROVIDING A MOMENT OF RESPITE. ANNUALLY MORE THAN 353 FAMILIES.IN 2021, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ORGANIZATION ELECTED TO MOVE FORWARD WITH PLANS TO CONSTRUCT A NEW RESIDENTIAL FACILITY THAT WILL REPLACE THE EXISTING HOUSE AND WILL ALSO BE CONSTRUCTED ON THE GROUNDS OF JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2024, THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO OCCUPY THE EXISTING FACILITY IN MIAMI, FLORIDA. TO DATE, THE ORGANIZATION IS STILL ACTIVELY WORKING TO SECURE THE REMAINING FINANCIAL SUPPORT NEEDED TO FUND THE CONSTRUCTION COSTS. CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW HOUSE IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN IN FALL 2025.
