THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED TARGETED CASE MANAGEMENT AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES TO FOUR DUVAL COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGH THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA. THESE SCHOOLS INCLUDE ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ARLINGTON ELEMENTARY, NORTHWESTERN LEGENDS, AND HIGHLANDS ELEMENTARY. IN ADDITION TO CASE MANAGEMENT, NWBH FACILITATES WORKSHOPS THAT FOCUS ON BUILDING SELF- ESTEEM, CHARACTER AND LEADERSHIP, YOUTH SUICIDE-PREVENTION AWARENESS, AND OTHER IMPORTANT LIFE-SKILLS. APPROXIMATELY 350 STUDENTS AND BOYS & GIRLS CLUB MEMBERS BENEFIT FROM THESE SERVICES EACH YEAR. NWBH ALSO PROVIDES SPECIALIZED WORKSHOPS FOR SENIORS THROUGH THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE'S SENIOR SERVICES PROGRAM. THESE SESSIONS FOCUS PRIMARILY ON GRIEF EDUCATION, EMOTIONAL WELLNESS, AND HEALTHY COPING STRATEGIES. APPROXIMATELY 200 SENIORS PARTICIPATED IN THESE WORKSHOPS.
