NEHEMIAH GATEWAY USA INC

In 2024, Nehemiah Gateway USA supported the educational programs of Nehemiah Gateway Albania (NG AL), from kindergarten through university, in the cities of Pogradec and Gjirokaster. This included support for the Amaro Tan project, a school that offers education for children coming from Roma and Balkan Egyptian background, and from economically disadvantaged Albanian families. The program also provides transportation, daily hot meals, hygiene and dental care, family counseling, and after-school activities like sewing and crafts courses. It protects children from exploitation and abuse, usually caused by their families, and offers access to quality education and basic care that would otherwise be unavailable to them. NG USA also supported Amaro Tan's summer camps in 2024, offering children safe, and structured educational activities, to keep them away from the dangers of the streets. The activities focused on social development, teamwork, and inclusiveness, developing communication, cooperation and problem-solving skills among the children. Daily meals and transportation were provided throughout the program. In the southern Albanian city of Gjirokaster, NG USA continued to support an after-school program for 14 Roma children, providing school supplies, meals, clothes, and academic and social support in a safe, nurturing environment. The children were provided daily transportation after school to the NG Gjirokaster center for a warm lunch, homework help , and social time with friends, after the completion of their homework. Scholarship support was also provided to help students continue high school at the NG campus. This ongoing support gives pupils, some of whom are motivated learners yet underprivileged, access to a good school education and preparation for their further education in college/ university. At the university level, NG USA continued to support Nehemiah Gateway University, which offers a three-year bachelor's degree program in business and economy and a two year master's program in leadership. The university holds three institutional and/or program accreditations: in the U.S. by TRACS (Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools), in Albania by ASCAL (Accreditation Board of the Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education), and in Germany and the EU by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation). Lectures are given in English, with both in-house professors and guest lecturers from universities in North America and Europe. In 2024, the university had around 30 students, including international students who received full scholarships covering tuition, room, board, and travel costs. NG USA helped coordinate some of the guest lecturers and provided assistance to the bachelor's program students. In addition, NG USA funded educational and vocational programs in Sunyani, Ghana (West Africa) supporting over 200 at-risk children through mentorship, life skills training, and youth summits. Vocational programs in sewing and beading offered hands-on job training to people coming mainly from deprived communities. Moreover, around 100 participants from 6 regions took part in a financial literacy seminar, learning core concepts such as saving, investment, and budgeting to promote economic empowerment.
