PARENTS OF P.S. 334, INC. IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION THAT WORKS IN SUPPORT OF THE ANDERSON SCHOOL (P.S. 334). THE ANDERSON SCHOOL IS A NEW YORK CITY SCHOOL THAT TEACHES OVER 500 GIFTED AND TALENTED CHILDREN IN CLASSES FROM KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE 8. THE PRIMARY MISSION OF PARENTS OF P.S. 334, INC. IS TO SUPPLEMENT THE RESOURCES PROVIDED BY THE NYC DEPT. OF EDUCATION, INCLUDING ASSISTANCE FOR SPORTS AND MUSICAL PROGRAMS, TEACHERS ASSISTANTS, AND OTHER CURRICULUM ENRICHMENTS IN SUBJECTS THAT INCLUDE FOREIGN LANGUAGES, SCIENCE, MATH AND ENGLISH. ADDITIONALLY, SINCE THE ANDERSON SCHOOL IS OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO LIVE THROUGHOUT NEW YORK CITY, THE PARENTS OF P.S. 334 ALSO WORK TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE SCHOOL AMONG PARENTS CITYWIDE AND TO ACTIVELY RECRUIT QUALIFIED STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE SCHOOL.
