LOCAL CONSERVATION OFFICERS AND LANDOWNERS PROVIDE PROPERTY ACCESS AND MENTORSHIP TO YOUTH UNDER 15 YEARS OF AGE WITH A DESIRE TO DEER HUNT. 7 YOUTH WERE PROVIDED WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO SCOUT, HUNT, HARVEST AND PROCESS A DEER DURING THE LOCAL YOUTH HUNT WEEKEND IN OCTOBER. THERE WAS SUFFICIENT INVENTORY OF ITEMS AND LOCAL INVOLVEMENT TO HAVE MINIMAL EXPENSES FOR THIS EVENT.
