The focus of the organization and the Pamlico County community has been energized and directed toward the establishment of a stand-alone library/community center. The Walker Group Architecture facilitated the OI march 2024 construction contract with Waters Construction Co for the remainder ($222,526) of 1.851M including change orders. Project was completed in the Summer of 2025. Funds from 2024 for construction project come from two NC State Grants, private grants and community donations. Both NC State Grants were closed early 2025. Funds from 2025 came from Bates and Truist Grants; local entities for the new Busines Center in the stand-alone library.
