In 2023, Snow Leopard Conservancy made remarkable progress in advancing our conservation and education programs. SLC supports the conservation work of individuals and organizations across the broader snow leopard range in South, Central, and East Asia (Due to current situations, we are not supporting programs in Russia). Over 500 community members actively participated in conservation efforts, and 88 individuals were engaged to facilitate conservation initiatives. Noteworthy accomplishments in conservation included the construction of predator proof livestock corrals, distribution of 121 Foxlights (predator deterrents), and the vaccination of 25,000 livestock, effectively mitigating human-wildlife conflicts and protecting both animals and communities. Our education programs successfully engaged 44 schools, reaching 5,500 students with the involvement of 100 teachers. Additionally, our Snow Leopard Day Festivals drew 10,000 participants, and 40,000 community members benefitted from other various educational opportunities, including 1,400 individuals participating in direct training sessions.
