YOUTH LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES THE CLAIBORNE COUNTY FARM BUREAU REMAINS INVOLVED AS PART OF THE OVERSIGHT OF AGRICULTURAL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN THE AREA. THE EFFORTS INCLUDE A FARM DAY FOR BOTH PRESCHOOL AND 5TH GRADE CHILDREN. THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR THE 5TH GRADERS BECAUSE IT SHOWS THEM WHERE THEIR FOOD AND FIBER COMES FROM AND HOW IMPORTANT AGRICULTURE IS TO SUSTAINING LIFE. THE OTHER EFFORTS INCLUDE SPONSORING THE 4-H STEER SHOW.
