The commitment of service to and social justice for the unhoused in our community is at the heart of Penuel Ridge. We were able to reinstate the on-site Work Dignity program, offering a fair living wage in exchange for work at the Retreat Center focused on facilities and land management. Two such retreats were held in 2023 for 10 unhoused or previously unhoused persons at each retreat, supported by co- leaders, Retreat Center Staff, and Volunteers. Penuel Ridge also continued service with our collaborating partner, the Living Room, focusing resources on community outreach aboard public transportation and through providing hot meals to those in the most isolated homeless encampments.
