TENNESSEE ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY ACTION (TACA) IS AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO SOLVING THE PROBLEMS OF POVERTY WITHIN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. TACA STRIVES TO PROMOTE THE CAUSES OF TENNESSEANS THAT ARE POOR, ELDERLY AND DISABLED; TO PROMOTE THE INTEREST AND INCREASE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MEMBER AGENCIES; AND TO ENCOURAGE THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS. TACA IS THE MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION FOR THE 20 COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES (CAAS) IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. IN COLLABORATION WITH BUSINESS, EDUCATION, FAITH-BASED, HEALTHCARE, NON-PROFIT, FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL PARTNERS, AGENCIES PRODUCE OUTCOMES TO MOVE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES FORWARD TO SELF SUFFICIENCY AND BRING CHANGES IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES. TACA ESTABLISHES AND MAINTAINS LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS THAT HELP CUSTOMERS OF MEMBER AGENCIES TO ACHIEVE THEIR FULL ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL POTENTIAL. TACA CONDUCTS RESULTS-ORIENTED MANAGEMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY (ROMA) TRAINING THROUGHOUT TENNESSEE.
