ALABAMA VOCATIONAL HAS A RANGE OF ACTIVITIES CENTERED AROUND PROMOTING AND DEVELOPING CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION. SEMINARS ARE ATTENDED BY MEMBERS, SUCH AS THE ALACTE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE, NATIONAL ACTE POLICY SEMINAR, ACTE VISION CONFERENCE, AND REGION II CONFERENCES. ALACTE ALSO PROVIDES A SUMMER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE FOR MEMBERS AND NONMEMBERS, AND THOSE INTERESTED IN CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION IN THE STATE OF ALABAMA. SESSIONS ARE DEVELOPED FOR EACH DIVISION, WORKING WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PERSONNEL TO PROVIDE UPDATED INFORMATION, TEACHING IDEAS, REGULATIONS, EQUIPMENT USE ETC. NEWSLETTERS FROM EACH DIVISION ARE COMPILED FROM THE TEACHERS OF THE DIVISION BY THE DIVISION PRESIDENT. THIS NEWSLETTER IS PRESENTED TO LEGISLATORS, THE STATE DEPARTMENT, AND OTHERS AS REQUESTED OR DEEMED NECESSARY. E-MAIL IS UTILIZED TO SEND INFORMATION TO MEMBERS FOR AWARDS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCES, AND GENERAL INFORMATION.
