THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL AUXILIARY PROMOTES AND ADVANCES THE WELFARE OF THE HOSPITAL BY CONDUCTING AND SUPPORTING SERVICES FOR THE HOSPITAL, PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE AUXILIARY IS PRIMARILY FUNDED BY DONATIONS, PROCEEDS FROM THE HOSPITAL GIFT SHOP AND PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF MISCELLANEOUS MERCHANDISE. IN 2024-2025, THE AUXILIARY HAD 9,425 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER TIME. THE AUXILIARY PROVIDED 3,511 DAYS OF FREE OR DISCOUNTED LODGING FOR 277 FAMILIES, WHO OTHERWISE COULD NOT AFFORD TO STAY NEAR THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, AT A COST TO THE AUXILIARY OF $100,000. THE AUXILIARY PROVIDED 500 MEAL TICKETS AT THE COST OF $2,500 TO THE AUXILARY. THE AUXILIARY ALSO PROVIDED TOILETRIES AND BASIC NECESSITIES FOR FAMILIES, AS WELL AS SUPPORT FOR THE HOSPITAL'S INTENSIVE CARE WAITING ROOMS.
