THE ORGANIZATION HAS MANY SERVICE PROJECTS IN WHICH MEMBERS VOLUNTEER BOTH FINANCIALLY AND WITH THEIR TIME. PROJECTS INCLUDE: READING WITH STUDENTS AT SPANN ELEMENTARY WORKING WITH THEM TO INCREASE THEIR LITERACY AND AR SCORES AND READING TO PRE K STUDENTS AT OBAMA MAGNATE ELEMENTARY; PARTICIPATING IN DELIVERING INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED CHRISTMAS GIFTS TO 5 LOCAL AREA NURSING HOMES; PROVIDING A CHRISTMAS PARTY AT CANOPY CHILDREN'S SOLUTIONS AS WELL AS DELIVERING INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED GIFTS FOR EACH CHILD AND HOUSE GIFTS FOR EACH HOUSE ON CAMPUS; EACH QUARTER RECOGNIZING OUTSTANDING POLICE OFFICERS THROUGH THE COMMUNITY PARTNERS PROGRAM AND THE EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION PROGRAM CELEBRATES PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS WITH A FINANCIAL GIFT; DELIVERING EASTER BASKETS TO RESIDENTS AT TWO NURSING HOMES; DONATING HOT MEALS TO THE YOUNG FUTURIST AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM AND THE FRIENDSHIP CONNECTION WHICH IS AN ADDICTION TREATMENT CENTER FOR WOMEN; PURCHASING AND DISTRIBUTING CHESS KITS FOR 3 JACKSON PUBLIC SCHOOLS; REFURBISHING THE JACKSON YOUTH BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELDS, DELIVERING MEALS TO EMPLOYEES AT BATSON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL; PROVIDING STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCH AT SPANN ELEMENTARY; ROTARIANS MADE 350 SACK LUNCHES FOR GOD'S HAVEN TO FEED CHILDREN HOME FROM SCHOOL ON GOOD FRIDAY; COLLECTED CANNED TUNA FOR EXTRA TABLE'S MARCH OF THE MAYORS AND ASSISTED WITH PACKING FOOD BOXES FOR NEEDY FAMILIES; PURCHASED AND DELIVERED SNACKS FOR THE SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM AT SPANN ELEMENTARY; AND SERVING AS SALVATION ARMY KETTLE BELL RINGERS.
