The Organization is the sole source provider on contract with the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners to provide administrative and marketing services and provide financial support for tourist related marketing efforts. The Organization promotes Palm Beach County as a destination for production and issues permits for more than 50 municipalities and taxing districts (continues on Schedule O).Expanded functions include the oversight of The Palm Beaches TV broadcast channel, branded tourism related programming, advertising, public relations and producing Florida's largest statewide film competition and award show, The Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films via a contract with the Department of Housing and Economic Development.The Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission attended the Cannes International Film Festival for the first time in 2025 as a strategic initiative to begin building high-level international relationships that can be cultivated and converted into future production business for Palm Beach County. The primary objective was relationship development - meeting with producers, financiers, distributors, and content executives to position Palm Beach County as a competitive U.S. filming destination and to generate qualified leads for follow-up engagement.In addition, the Commission partnered with FilmUSA and Film Florida and five other Florida film commissions to present a coordinated "Florida Day" at Cannes. This collaborative activation featured two industry panels: one spotlighting Florida filmmakers and their global success, and a second featuring representatives from these five Florida film commissions who outlined the benefits of filming in the State of Florida, including diverse locations, experienced crew base, production infrastructure, and streamlined permitting. This unified statewide presence strengthened Florida's overall market visibility while positioning Palm Beach County within a broader, competitive production ecosystem, laying the groundwork for future projects that drive measurable economic impact locally.
