Education: Support was provided for 500 impoverished children in Kolkata which included paying their school fees, daily tutoring, exam fees, school lunches, uniforms, books and supplies. Fifty students in 9th to 12th grade took part in weekly small-group mentoring classes focusing on life skills. About 800 people were helped through literacy classes, youth and women's classes at our community/education centers in Kolkata serving those living in slums and on the streets.
