Animal Rescue Program: Operates in the Rio Grande area of Puerto Rico, rescuing abandoned and stray cats and dogs. Since its inception, the program has rescued over 550 stray dogs and 250 cats, providing them with a safe space for recovery and rehabilitation. Volunteers play a critical role in animal care, including walking, feeding, socializing, and cleaning. They also help find foster and adoptive homes for the animals. In addition, high school students from two schools in San Juan lead a support program, while local students in Rio Grande visit more frequently to lend a hand. The foundation not only protects domestic animals but also contributes to local ecosystems and sustainability. Through education and outreach, they promote the importance of animal welfare and environmental protection. In 2023, the foundation conducted 2,000 shelter visits and helped 107 animals find their forever homes.

The Endangered Species Program focuses on the conservation of sea turtles and Antillean manatees, two endangered species that rely on critical habitats in the region. The program works through a combination of education, protection, rehabilitation, and monitoring. Every nesting season, daily patrols are conducted, and nesting sites are marked off with stakes and rope to protect the areas from disturbance. In the 2024 season, a total of 13 turtle nests were safeguarded. With approval from the State's Natural Resource Manager, people can participate in the release of hatched sea turtles, providing a valuable opportunity for environmental education and promoting conservation efforts. In addition, the program is actively involved in rescuing stranded Antillean manatees. In partnership with the Caribbean Center for Manatee Conservation, three baby manatees were successfully rescued and rehabilitated. Stranded manatees are transported to the rehabilitation facilities at the Interamerican University campus in Bayamón, where they are cared for until they are healthy enough to be released back into the wild. This program is developed in collaboration with the Natural Resources Department and the Caribbean Center for Manatee Conservation to ensure the long-term protection of these endangered species."

Fauna Rescue and Recovery program focuses on rescuing and rehabilitating injured or orphaned wildlife, with a particular emphasis on birds. Each year, several baby birds fall from their nests, especially during the spring and summer months. When this occurs, the situation is assessed to determine whether the birds are fledglings or nestlings, whether the parents are still caring for them, and if rehabilitation is needed. If necessary, the birds are rehabilitated and raised until they are capable of surviving in the wild, after which they are released back into their natural habitat. During the summer nesting season, a colony of least terns (Sternula antillarum) nests on the sandbar at the mouth of the Espiritu Santo River. This year, 10 nests were protected. Volunteers and staffworked to safeguard these nests by marking them with sticks and signs to alert walkers and joggers to avoid disturbing or crushing the nests. Through these efforts, the Fauna Rescue and Recovery program plays an essential role in the rehabilitation and protection of local wildlife, ensuring that injured and orphaned animals are given the care they need for a successful return to the wild.
