CLUBHOUSE EL DORADO. Our Clubhouse offers community-based support services to individuals with mental illness following the evidence-based Clubhouse model utilized by over 350 organizations globally. Situated at 471 Pierroz Road Placerville California it operates on weekdays from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Services are provided collaboratively by members and professional staff encompassing employment education culinary horticulture reception and wellness. In 2025 Clubhouse El Dorado exhibited significant and measurable impact as a burgeoning community-centered mental health program. Members prepared and served more than 8,200 meals during the work-ordered day enhancing practical skills and daily routines. The program aided numerous individuals in attaining increased stability including supporting 69 members with housing and assisting 44 in pursuing educational objectives. Employment remained a key focus with members receiving assistance in resume building interview readiness and job placement leading to a rise in competitive employment successes since the programs inception. On average members dedicated over five hours daily to Clubhouse activities indicating substantial involvement and connection. With over 300 individuals joining since its establishment and sustained engagement throughout the year 2025 marked a period of continuous expansion heightened community involvement and tangible advancements in aiding members in constructing purposeful stable and recovering lives.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH. NAMI El Dorado County maintains 25 literature kiosks throughout the county at locations such as libraries mental health facilities correctional facilities and emergency rooms. The brochures and pamphlets they contain serve as information resources on a wide variety of mental health topics for persons or families in crisis . Warm Line NAMI El Dorado County volunteers staff an informational telephone line which provides callers the ability to obtain information learn about resources and discuss concerns with a live person. Services are provided in English or Spanish at no charge to the caller. Website NAMI El Dorado County maintains a website which is as a gateway to its services and programs. It has links to a variety of local and national resources for mental health and is a robust source of educational material related to mental health. FAMILY-TO-FAMILY. NAMI Family-to-Family is a class for families significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. Designated as an evidence-based program by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration it facilitates a better understanding of mental health conditions increases coping skills and empowers participants to become advocates for their family members. It is peer-led; instructors receive specialized training but are family members of persons with serious mental illness. This course consists of eight three-hour sessions and includes a binder of course materials which serve as a reference and resource guide after its conclusion. There is no charge to attendees.
