The Organiation, acting in coordination with local Governmental agencies, provides hands on training and classroom instruction to teach basic job and construction skills to members of groups historically not represented in the construction industry. These groups primarily consist of minorities, women and parolees. The organization focuses on moving highly at risk youth and adults from the underemployed or unemployed into apprentice positions in a chosen construction trade by providing comprehensive instruction and training in construction trades, hazardous materials handling and remodeling skills. Instruction and training is provided in the classroom and is coordinated with mock-up building projects. Successful students are placed with state approved apprenticeship programs.
