Workforce Development: Engaged with South Lake Tahoe High School for CTE Programs to build tiny homes for Teachers South Lake Tahoe Local Government Affairs: Grew advocacy region to include Douglas and Washoe Counties Worked with City of South Lake Tahoe on the planning of the Climate Action Plan Supported changes to relax Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) ordinances to increase the construction of housing Continued to lobby the TRPA for the release of residential allocations Advocated for private property rights and the allowance of short-term rentals without onerous restrictions/ or moratoriums on permits Established CATT as a preeminent organization with local jurisdictions, elected officials, and coalitions Truckee North Tahoe Local Government Affairs: Addressed the delay in permitting processing at the Town of Truckee Building Department Participated in the Truckee General Plan and mobilized members to support a preferred alternative Participated in the Climate Action Coalition and offered Heat Pump Classes to members and general public for free Worked with the Golden State Builders Exchange to understand best practices in construction trade associations Encouraged the Town of Truckee to treat affordable housing projects as categorically exempt from VMT requirements as they create minimal impact
