PROJECT AVARY PROVIDES CHILDREN OF INCARCERATED PARENTS WITH THE SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND HEALING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND JOB SKILLS TRAINING TO STRENGTHEN PARTICIPANTS' RESILIENCY AND PROTECTIVE FACTORS IN ORDER TO HELP THEM OVERCOME THE IMPACTS AND RISK FACTORS OF HAVING AN INCARCERATED PARENT. PROGRAM EVALUATIONS SHOW THAT 88-92% OF PARTICIPANTS DEMONSTRATE SUCCESS IN KEY PSYCHO-SOCIAL INDICATORS THAT CHILDREN OF INCARCERATED PARENTS NEED IN ORDER TO HAVE SUCCESS IN THEIR LIFE AND REMAIN FREE FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.
