FIELD MAINTENANCE HAS RECENTLY BECOME A LARGER EXPENSE. THE LEAGUE IS GROWING IN PLAYER PARTICIPATION, WHICH REQUIRES THE USE OF A HIGHER NUMBER OF FIELDS, SOME OF WHICH WERE NOT OF THE HIGH STANDARDS FOR SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT. IT HAS TAKEN A GREAT DEAL OF TIME AND EFFORT, AS WELL AS MORE MONEY FROM THE LEAGUE GENERAL FUND TO BRING THESE FIELDS UP TO THE EXPECTED STANDARD OF QUALITY.
