Bahi Makulu Village - This is our 21st village. It has a population of 8,880. This was our first solar powered project since the technology had improved enough to support an installation as large as ours. We constructed a 100,000 liter storage tank on the top of the hill in the village to leverage gravity to distribute the water throughout the village. We also constructed 15 public distribution points for clean water as well as a cattle trough for watering all the animals in the village. We worked with local and regional government officials and committees as partners in this project.

WASH and MHM Programs - We held Water Sanitation and Hygiene WASH training for the village of Bahi Makulu including special sessions for the schools along with a contest for improving WASH practices. We provided a WASH Best Practice Seminar for the villages of Chitope and Chipanga where they visited a very successful village to observe ask questions and learn so they could incorporate these lessons into practices in their own village. We held a menstrual hygiene management MHM training with a distribution of reusable feminine hygiene kits in the village of Bahi Makulu. These kits were produced in the area by a small local business.
