The Austin School for Performing and Visual Arts is a public charity founded in 2006 and has served over 2,700 sutdents in the greater Austin community. We offer a variety of performing and visual arts classes as part of Community Outreach Program to promote student success and to support their well being. By collaborating with other organizations such as public schools church groups veterans military first responders and others our reach is broad and we are able to serve a diverse group of students who are exploring the arts or honing their artisitc talents. Our programs include ance theatre music songwriting visual arts and cinematic arts. Other unique programs include world music drumming and body percussion and our performance jump rope team all of which promote good health showmanship and teamwork. The majority of the students we serve participate on scholarship. costs associated with these programs are covered or shaerd with ASPVA collaborators.
