ADA REGIONAL UNITED WAY (ARUW) IS INVOLVED IN A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY COORDINATION EFFORTS. THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IS THE CHAIR OF THE PONTOTOC COUNTY COMMUNITY COALITION, A MEMBER OF THE PONTOTOC COUNTY EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER LOCAL BOARD, AND IS A MEMBER OF THE PONTOTOC COUNTY DRUG FREE COALITION. ARUW HOSTED COMMUNITY EVENTS INCLUDING OKLAHOMA PARTNERSHIP FOR SCHOOL READINESS COMMUNITY CONVERSTAIONS AND UNITED WAY FAMILY FUN DAY. ARUW HOSTS THE ONLINE VOLUNTEER SITE AND COORDINATES VOLUNTEERS IN OUR ENTIRE SERVICE AREA INCLUDING SITE AND COORDINATES VOLUNTEERS IN OUR ENTIRE SERVICE AREA INCLUDING LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS AND THE LOCAL UNIVERSITY. ARUW IS THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE SERVICE AREA'S CHARITY TRACKER ONLINE CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WHICH COORDINATES THE EFFORTS OF LOCAL AGENCIES HELPING COMMUNITY MEMBERS MOVE FROM DEPENDENCY ON SERVICES TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY. ARUW WORKS WITH THE LOCAL HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AGENCIES TO MAXIMIZE THE IMPACT THAT THEIR PROGRAMS ARE HAVING ON THE COMMUNITY. BY WORKING TOGETHER, THESE PROGRAMS ARE ABLE TO ACHIEVE MUCH MORE THAN JUST WHAT THEIR OWN PROGRAM CAN DO. ARUW HAS BEEN INSTRUMENTAL IN IMPROVING LIVES IN OUR SERVICES AREA.
