CITIZEN FORESTER TRAINING: This volunteer training and development program combines classroom and field training from Tulsa's top arborists who volunteer their time and knowledge. After four weeks of classroom and hands-on training (including the art and science of pruning), successful candidates become part of an elite volunteer corps that plants and maintains trees in parks and other locations in the Tulsa metro area. Citizen Foresters also become enthusiastic advocates of urban forestry awareness and education.
