Saint Francis Health System, Inc. was formed as the parent entity to support an integrated delivery system as well as control and manage the activities of several nonprofit organizations. The principal goal of the integrated system was to bring the operations of two general acute care hospitals, a psychiatric hospital, a tax-exempt physician clinic, and other ancillary service entities and subsidiaries of directly affiliated entities under the common control of Saint Francis Health System, Inc. The nonprofit supported entities directly controlled and managed by Saint Francis Health System, Inc. are as follows: Saint Francis Hospital, Inc.; Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital, Inc.; Warren Clinic, Inc.; the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saint Francis; Saint Francis Hospital South, LLC; Saint Francis Hospital Vinita, Inc.; and Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee, Inc. Each of the organizations listed above are recognized as tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) and 501(a). Saint Francis Health System, Inc. has overall control and supervision of certain ancillary healthcare activities that are operated solely by the entities of which Saint Francis Health System, Inc. is the sole member. Saint Francis Health System, Inc. facilitates the creation of a comprehensive healthcare delivery system serving a geographic region consisting of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the surrounding areas of Northeastern Oklahoma. The related entities within Saint Francis Health System, Inc. are involved in the direct provision of healthcare services. Saint Francis Health System, Inc. conducts its operations and those of its affiliates in adherence to the religious and ethical directives of the Roman Catholic Church and maintains a Catholic presence throughout its operations. It is also the intention of the Saint Francis Health System, Inc. board of trustees for the operations of Saint Francis Health System, Inc. to be charitable in nature. Saint Francis Health System, Inc. provides management and administrative services to the hospitals, clinics, and medical providers operated by Saint Francis Health System, Inc. for the promotion of health, better and improved medical care, medical research, and education for the benefit of the general public. Saint Francis Health System, Inc., in developing and supervising the operations of a healthcare delivery system and the operations of the supported affiliates, routinely charges patients of the system for their treatment. It is the policy of the hospitals and Saint Francis Health System, Inc. to treat any patient in an emergency room of the hospitals irrespective of ability to pay. GENERAL PURPOSE AND VISION Saint Francis Health System, Inc., along with its supported hospitals and clinics, share a common goal to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services directed at optimizing the health status of the entire community. This common goal has been transformed into a common vision for the related entities and supported organizations. Saint Francis Hospital, Inc., Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital, Inc., Saint Francis Hospital South, LLC, Saint Francis Hospital Vinita, Inc., Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee, Inc., Warren Clinic, Inc., and all affiliated organizations have come together with Saint Francis Health System, Inc. to form a full-service, seamless health delivery system serving the communities of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and surrounding communities of eastern Oklahoma.
