Clarehouse provides a loving home, quality end-of-life care and access to hospice services to people in need. Filling a critical gap in the continuum of care, we respond to unmet care needs in the final days and weeks of life. This is a service not provided by hospice, nor covered by Medicare or medical insurance. The alternative Clarehouse provides enables family caregivers to maintain employment while not exhausting themselves or their financial resources, yet ensuring quality care for their loved one. We care for about 400 guests in our home annually. This includes the provision of our home, 24 hour personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, companionship and presence, emotional and spiritual support, access to hospice providers, safe, home-like environment, privacy and space, and a shared knowledge and comfort level with the dying process.
