The Lighthouse of Houston offers three premium business service lines, call/contact centers, document management and kitting/packaging that focuses on creating jobs for people who are blind or low vision. Service contracts are secured from Federal, State, and commercial opportunities. On-the-job training and employment includes customer service representatives, switchboard operators, document management clerks, mail sorting, virtual mailroom clerks, medical transcriptionists and kitting, packaging and fulfillment jobs. Fifty-three percent of the workforce is blind or low vision and provides direct labor to the contracts secured.
