Scott & White Hospital - Taylor dba Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Taylor (BSW Taylor) is a faith-based, nonprofit, nonprofit 25-bed critical access hospital, providing exemplary patient care services to the residents of Williamson County and the surrounding communities since 1968.BSW Taylor is affiliated with Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), a faith-based nationally acclaimed network of acute care hospitals and related health care entities providing quality patient care, medical education, medical research and other community services to the residents of North and Central Texas. As the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas and one of the largest in the United States, BSWH was born from the 2013 combination of Baylor Health Care System and Scott & White Healthcare. Today, BSWH has over 1,300 patient access points including 53 hospitals, 600+ specialty care clinics, 250+ outpatient clinics, 150+ primary care clinics, 29 pharmacies, 30+ ambulatory surgery centers, 60+ urgent care clinics, and over 7,300 active physicians. The system also includes a state certified health maintenance organization, the Scott and White Health Plan and the Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance accountable care organization both covering approximately 1,200,000 lives.BSW Taylor is a critical access hospital that has a 24/7 emergency department including a Level IV Trauma Center. The medical center and adjacent clinic provide primary and specialty care, including cardiology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, internal medicine, ophthalmology, pain management, pathology, pediatrics, podiatry, pulmonary medicine (sleep lab), skilled nursing and radiology.During the fiscal year, BSW Taylor admitted 424 patients resulting in 2,220 days of care and received 15,286 emergency department visits. Additionally, BSW Taylor provided community benefits (as reported to the Texas Department of State Health Services and in accordance with the State of Texas Statutory methodology) of $3,336,286 and provided community benefits (as reported on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 990, Schedule H) of $3,206,293 during the tax year.See Schedule H for more information regarding these services and how BSW Taylor promotes the health of the communities.
