PATIENT CARE:McKee Wellness Foundation partners with healthcare provider organizations throughout Northern Colorado to make funding available to individuals struggling to afford medical, dental, or prescription costs, and assists them with daily living needs to mitigate the financial impact of illness and treatment. In 2024, over 1,300 individuals facing critical health challenges received life-changing support, with the majority of direct assistance benefiting cancer patients and their families. Available support covered co-pays, medical bills, prescription drug costs, complementary and alternative therapies, and day-to-day living costs for income-qualified individuals. Specific impacts included:- 59 individuals supported during cancer diagnosis or treatment.- Over $25,000 in prescription support for Loveland Community Health Center clients.- 129 older adults each month equipped with Lifeline devices, enabling them to remain safely at home.- 10 unhoused individuals provided safe shelter and transportation following a hospital stay.EDUCATION:McKee Wellness Foundation manages and distributes awards from multiple scholarship funds for Northern Colorado students, including those pursuing healthcare careers as part of the Foundations workforce development efforts to address regional staffing shortages. In 2024, $163,129 was distributed for continuing education and training tools for local healthcare workers, and seven students received scholarships to pursue healthcare careers.
