Monastery with Roman Catholic Priest and 1 full time Chrisitan Contemplative in Residence. We completed our transition from widerness retreat center to Roman Catholic Mission Parish We hold weekly masses for Catholics and others wishing to attend as the closest Catholic church is 35 miles away. About 50 people regularly attend our Sunday masses. Starting this past year we began covering masses for Catholic Churches without priests in the San Luis Valley in Colorado, and preaching parish retreats.
Over 50% of our time is spent in silence and solitude as hermits. We conduct prayer services and funerals and baptisms which are open to the public. We rent this public prayer space.
