CAMP PROGRAMS: A LARGE NUMBER OF DEAF, INNER-CITY, INDIAN, AND OTHER YOUTH COME TO OUR CAMP FOR FREE WHO WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO COME TO CAMP. OTHERS, PAY A LOW FEE. THE MOST ANYONE PAYS IS 150.00 WHICH INCLUDES ROOM AND BOARD FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK OF CAMP. WE WORK WITH HANDICAPPED AND POOR CHILDREN. MANY COME FOR FREE. SOME PAY 20 FOR A FULL WEEK OF CAMP. IT COST MORE THAN WE TAKE IN. THESE FEES GO INTO THE EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE CAMP. THIS COVERS THE COST OF FOOD AND SUPPLIES NEEDED TO OPERATE.

THERAPEUTIC HORSE PROGRAM: THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT HELP WITH HANDICAPPED, TROUBLED, AND POOR CHILDREN. THE COST IS HIGH FOR HORSES, GRAIN, VET BILLS, ELECTRIC FOR IRRIGATION, FUEL TO HAUL HAY, ETC. WE SELL HORSE RIDES TICKETS, BUT GIVE FREE RIDES TO THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE MONEY. WE SELL CANDY, POP, ETC. THOSE WHO HAVE NO MONEY RECEIVE FREE GOODIES. EVERYONE GETS A FREE T-SHIRT AND WE SELL OTHER SHIRTS, HATS, ETC., USED FOR ADVERTISING AND PROMOTING THE CAMP AS WELL AS FOR IDENTIFICATION OF CAMPERS. BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: WE HAVE A NUMBER OF BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT THAT REQUIRE CONSTANT REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE. IN JULY OF 2021 WE HAD A 100 YEAR FLOOD THAT DESTROYED A NUMBER OF OUR BUILDINGS. SINCE WE ARE LOCATED IN A VALLEY WITH A STREAM IN IT, WE CANNOT PURCHASE FLOOD INSURANCE. THIS RESULTED IN CANCELLATION OF CAMP WEEKS AS WELL AS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE WE ARE STILL RECOVERING FROM AND REBUILDING.
