The Comfort House gives kids meals and snacks that fight an empty stomach and promote good health. The library gives them access to the internet to do homework, books to read and art supplies for crafts. The playground is a place to run around and use their imaginations, whether on the pirate ship or the tire snake (or is it a caterpillar?). We also make sure they have well-fitting clothes and shoes so the children can begin each day feeling comfortable and confident. We have parties for all of the holidays, and provide families with Thanksgiving dinners, to make sure our kids don't miss out on any of the fun of celebrating as they grow up. Finally, every August, we provide backpacks full of necessary supplies so that the kids enter the classroom prepared to learn and succeed.
