IN ADDITION, WE HOLD TWO ANNUAL COMMUNITY-WIDE CLEANUPS, ONE IN THE SPRING AND ONE IN THE FALL, AS WELL AS EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS ON LITTER PREVENTION TO VARIOUS GROUPS.BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAMS INCLUDE TREEKEEPERS, A GROUP OF ARBORISTS AND TREE-LOVERS WHO HELP SUSTAIN OUR "URBAN FOREST AND PROVIDE TREE CARE EDUCATION, AND EDUCATION ON PROPER PLANT CARE AND SELECTION FOR OUR REGION. WE ALSO DO ANNUAL TREE AND OTHER PLANTINGS, AS WELL AS HOLD THE ANNUAL TRIO OF GARDENS TOUR.WASTE REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE "LEND A BIN" PROGRAM FOR RECYCLING AT EVENTS, BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE, ONGOING RECYCLING AND WATER CONSERVATION EDUCATION AND THE ANNUAL TEXAS RECYCLES DAY COLLECTION EVENT, TO BE HELD THIS YEAR ON NOVEMBER 12TH AT MIDLAND COLLEGE.OUR NUMBER ONE OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL AND INTERACTIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT TAKING GOOD CARE OF AND TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE APPEARANCE AND QUALITY OF PLACE OF OUR COMMUNITY.
