Youth Prevention - Provides evidence-based prevention education curriculum for youth, ages 5 to 18, in schools and community organizations in Ellis and Johnson Counties. These prevention curricula have been proven to reduce risk factors like favorable attitudes towards substance use and increase protective factors like communication skills and the ability to identify and manage emotions. Community Based Coalition - This program brings members of the community together to identify substance use related problems within the community and utilizing a strategic logic model, develop and implement community level interventions to address the identified problems. Youth Recovery Communities - Provides recovery support services to youth and young adults, ages 13 to 21 years, who are in recovery from substance use. Recovery leaders work with program participants from a harm reduction model to create individualized recovery goals. Recovery leaders also provide mentorship, connections to community resources for the youth and family, and opportunities for safe and sober fun. IN 2023, UNDUPLICATED INDIVIDUALS SERVED FOR YPU, UPS, CCP, URC IN ELLIS AND JOHNSON COUNTIES COMBINED WERE 3,779 ADULTS AND 24,242 YOUTH.
