FREE BOOK FAIRS WERE HELD IN SCHOOLS THAT SERVE A POPULATION OF GREATER THAN 70% ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS. DURING THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED 69 BOOK FAIRS WITH OVER 37,500 STUDENTS ATTENDING THE FAIRS AND OVER 81,000 BOOKS GIVEN AWAY. THE SOARING SUMMER READING PROGRAM IS SPECIFICALLY CREATED FOR LOWER INCOME STUDENTS IN PRE-K THROUGH 2ND GRADE WITH LIMITED ACCESS TO READING MATERIALS AT HOME. THE INTENDED PURPOSE IS TO INSTITUTE READING OVER THE SUMMER AND TO REINFORCE READING SKILLS DEVELOPED OVER THE SCHOOL YEAR.
