FOCUSES ON STUDENTS FURTHEST FROM EDUCATIONAL JUSTICE DUE TO INCOME, RACE, OR AMOUNT OF TIME IN THE U.S. WITH SLIDING SCALE TUITION AND INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORTS FOR STUDENT SUCCESS. IN 2023-24, ONEWORLD NOW!S AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM SERVED 186 STUDENTS IN SEATTLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND ONLINE ACROSS THE U.S.. LANGUAGE CLASSES ARE TWICE WEEKLY DURING AFTER-SCHOOL HOURS. LANGUAGES TAUGHT INCLUDE MODERN STANDARD ARABIC, MANDARIN CHINESE, KOREAN, AND RUSSIAN. THE CAMP ALSO INTRODUCED STUDENTS TO PRACTICES AND PERSPECTIVES OF THE CULTURE THEY STUDIED, AS WELL AS THE LEADERSHIP SKILLS THAT WILL ENABLE THEM TO GROW AS YOUTH LEADERS WITH A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE. STUDENTS LEARNED THROUGH CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES, GUEST SPEAKERS, CULTURAL ACTIVITIES, AND INTERNATIONAL MEALS. THE STUDENTS SERVED WERE OF THE SAME DEMOGRAPHICS AS THOSE IN 4A ABOVE.

IN ADDITION, WE ALSO ORGANIZED OUR OWN STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM, BRINGING 13 STUDENTS TO KYRGYZSTAN FOR HOME-STAYS AND CULTURAL EXPERIENCES, IN THIS PROGRAM, TOO, ONEWORLD NOW! PRIORITIZES STUDENTS HISTORICALLY UNDERREPRESENTED IN STUDY ABROAD LEARNING. WE OFFER NEEDS-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS OF AS MUCH AS 85%, DEPENDING ON THE FAMILY SITUATION. IN MOST CASES, THE STUDENT WOULD NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY ABROAD OR FULFILL THEIR DESIRE FOR INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION.
