The Young Women's Equity Council YWEC is a mentoring and career exploration program that paired a total of 38 teen women of color with adult female mentors of color who are community leaders and influential professionals. The group meets bi-weekly on Saturdays during the school year. The meetings included educational presentations and activities and in individual mentoring meetings.

This is accomplished by improving system policies and community diversion programs that also included Family Court and Juvenile Hearing Boards.
